Momo Sushi Shack in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bushwick has long been on my list of new restaurants to try. I was very excited when I finally got a taste! First things first, we ordered the Heritage Pork buns, soft buns stuffed with delicious pork belly.
Next up, Gyoza! The picture doesn’t do it justice, but under that crispy layer were pork dumplings accompanied by a variety of sauces for dipping.
After a round of appetizers, it was sushi time! There were plenty of options to selection from, both vegetable and fish. This is the Dragon roll with BBQ eel, avocado, and eel sauce.
Momo’s sushi signature sushi is their bombs! These are playful pieces of Niger sushi artfully arranged and served. Can’t pick just one type? Order the Party Bomb, which comes with a variety of the bombs.
Be sure to check out the nightly specials! We had crispy friend turkey wings to finish the meal.
I would highly recommend Momo Sushi Shack. Come hungry and be sure to order a variety of small dishes. They do get pretty packed, so it would be worthwhile to make a reservation, if you can.
