Adventures in Montauk: Part I

This Memorial Day, my friends and I took a trip out to Montauk, Long Island for the weekend. Montauk is the furthest point on Long Island, the end of the line. On our drive from the city, we made a little detour to the Blue Point Brewery in Patchogue, Long Island, about half way to Montauk. The bar part of the brewery is small, reminded me a local dive bar. Their taps are incredible.

We all bought growlers for the weekend. Everyone also got three free samples of the beer. I tried the Toxic Sludge (a really dark beer), the Old Howling Bastard, and the Double blond. All fantastic samples.

More of their quirky taps.

Our samples lined up.

The actual brewery. After grabbing our samples, we headed outside. The backyard of the brewery consists of a tented area and picnic tables. It was packed with people of all ages and plenty of dogs enjoying the warm weather, great beer, and company. Blue Point was a very charming little brewery and bar. Check back for more Montauk adventures!
