I don’t know about you, but after this long week, I need some inspiration.
Here’s a picture of my pup, Ginger, back home. She is a strong, bossy Alpha dog. Except, when there is a thunderstorm. One evening during a summer storm, my dad could not find Ginger. He looked everywhere…and found poor Ginger hiding under a table.
She also loves to play!
And here are some great literary quotes to bring you into the weekend…
“For we pay a price for everything we get or take in this world; and although ambitions are well worth having, they are not to be cheaply won, but exact their dues of work and self-denial, anxiety and discouragement.” Anne of Green Gables L.M. Montgomery
“That evening I rode downtown on an unaccountably empty bus, sitting in the last row. At the front I saw a thin cloud of smoke rising around the driver’s head. ‘Hey, bus driver,’ I said. ‘Can I smoke?’ ‘May I,’ said the bus driver. ‘I love you,’ I said.” The Mysteries of Pittsburgh Michael Chabon (I need to re-read that one. Again.)
And finally, one of my all time favorite poets…
“love me like a freezing shot of vodka, like pure agave, love me/when you’re lonely, when we’re both too tired to speak, when you don’t believe/in anything, listen, there isn’t anything, it doesn’t matter” Kim Addonizio “Tell Me” (I don’t know that you can find it online, but she is worth Googling. Trust me.)
